Matilda is a beautiful Calico that is super sweet and looking for her forever home. She was fortunate one day to come across someone that loves cats and always tries to help them. He thought she was pregnant and picked her up and took her to the vet to get her spayed. Unfortunately, she had already had the babies and was still nursing. Concerned that the babies were all alone without the protection of their mother, Matilda was spayed and put back out right away.

Since Matilda was very friendly, he put a collar and name tag on her with the hope that anyone feeding her may be able to provide information about her kittens. Sure enough after several days the man received a call from a couple that had been feeding Matilda and knew where her babies were located. The couple was moving out of the area and couldn’t keep Matilda or her babies. Fortunately, arrangements were made for them and now all are available for adoption through Adopt A Stray.

Matilda is such a sweetheart!  She purrs and rolls around so you can pet her. She is very vocal and talks to you when you say her name or come in the room to visit her. The couple that used to feed her said that she craves love and affection and would always try to get in the door to get inside their house. She obviously was used to being indoors and wanted to be again.  In fact, when the couple would go for a walk after feeding Matilda, she wouldn’t finish her food and instead followed them and would stop with them while they rested and would bump her head against them and rub against their legs demanding their attention. Upon resuming their walk Matilda would again follow them all the way back home where she would finally finish the food they gave her.  This Momma loves her kittens but she also really needs someone to care and love her and give her the attention she deserves.
