Petals was born October 2015 and has the remarkable ability to quiet a more rambunctious companion. This has been witnessed by the foster Parent as Petals cuddles her more active foster mate. She is extremely gentle and loves head scratches and belly rubs. When she nestles on your lap, she rolls over for those much appreciated belly rubs.  

Petals is more of a a shy kitten and would love to be in a home that would allow her to come out on her own. Her tendency to run for cover appears to be a adaptaton of survival. When she was a kitten her foster observed Petals mother abandoning her at an early age,hissing and spitting when petal would come near, darting away from her through traffic. This occurred in the parking lot of a large retail mall. Trying to keep up with her mother was impossible and both employees and consumers at the mall feared every minute for Petals life. Patrons and staff of various establishments, banks,restaurants and retail business would chase after Petals in efforts to corner her and catch her with rescue in mind. All with good intentions but resulting in Petals habit to run away and hide.

When Petals feels safe, she slowly approaches getting closer and closer and finally sitting next to you on the couch or letting you pick her up,  put her on your lap or rest her on your chest. She would be a great companion for an active single kitten who needs a calm friend.   She is very close to her  kitten buddy, Lisa.  They can be seen together, cuddling, wrestling and playing to their hearts content at the Pembroke Pines Petsmart where they are currently living.  Come meet them and fall in love.
