Please contact info@adoptastray.ws for more information about this pet. Cocoa was a stray like so many homeless animals. She was looking for shelter and decided she was safe in the engine of a truck. When the truck was started she did not have time to get out without sustaining multiple severe injuries. She got caught in an engine which broke her front left leg and damaged the left side of her face. During the first day of the trauma she lost her vision, but regained her sight within 2 days. Through all this pain she has a wonderful disposition. She purrs the second she is picked up and her sweetness is beyond words. Cocoa had surgery on August 25th to repair her broken leg and the damage to her face and eye. She has pins and a plate in her leg, which will remain in her. Her follow up visit is in a few weeks, at which time her stitches will be removed. Her recovery requires rest, antibiotics, and eye ointment several times a day. Cocoa's prognosis is very good at this time. She will be available for adoption once she has her follow up visit, and is spayed. All the vets involved to help save this little kitties life were outstanding! We appreciate everything they do. Adopt a Stray helps animals such as Cocoa through your generous donations.
