A gentleman walked into a local vets office wanting to have his dog, Hazel, euthanized.  He provided the vets office with basic information saying that she was 5 years old and had severe arthritis. Answers to other questions caused the vet to suspect he was not getting the whole story so he asked the owner to surrender the animal to his office.

The owner agreed and brought her in from the car.  Hazel was practically dead, her owner set her in a cage and didn't even look back.

Hazel was severely dehydrated.  IV fluids were given and labs were run.   The next day she was able to lift her head.  She was extremely weak but by day three she was able to stand. The following day she was walking and eating.

It turned out she has an illness called Addison's (no arthritis!). The vets office found out that the previous owner was breeding her despite knowing she had a medical condition. After she had served his purpose, the owner simply stopped giving her her medication until she couldn't even walk or eat and expected the vets office to put her down without asking too many questions.

Hazel is a super sweet dog, great with kids and other dogs. She is housebroken, very obedient and has no destructive behavior. She loves people and is so happy to greet you. Hazel is very loyal always attentive to your every move and loves to lie by your feet and get her belly or her back rubbed.  loves to lay on the couch and wa!tch tv with you.

Hazel would love nothing more than to have her forever home where she can lie on the couch and and watch TV with you.  She is a true couch potato and the perfect pet!!!
