While an Adopt A Stray volunteer was getting gas she heard a cry from another car. Out ran a six week old kitten. It took the volunteer 3 days to trap. As it turned out she had been burned on her belly. Not a clue if it was with heat, oil or a chemical. But soon spot on her belly grew until it was a huge. Almost all the skin on her little belly was dead (necrotic tissue) and without surgery she would surely die from the infection.
Adopt A Stray covered the expenses for Cori’s surgery and after nearly 2 months of bandage changes she is completely recovered.
Despite everthing Cori has endured in short life, she is a loving, affectionate and thankful kitten. She didn't let her discomfort stop her from playing or asking for some cuddling.
Cori loves to play with whatever is available - balls, mice, feather toys or other kitties. She climbs 7 foot cat condos for some extra fun. She also loves to be held and she gives the softest kitty kisses.
Cori looks into your eyes with love and trust. When she was on medication she took it without struggle or a grudge. Coriander is sweet and loving and completely ready emotionally and health-wise
for her forever home.
You can meet Cori most Saturdays at the Pembroke Pines Petsmart from 12-6pm.
