Tabby / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Large
Morris was living the good life. First, he got adopted by a very nice person that gave him a wonderful home with baskets of toys, a cat tree to climb on and lots of LOVE. And when he thought life couldn't get any better, his new dad adopted him a little girlfriend for a companion. Morris & Allegra loved their home, their dad & each other and life was good - up until the time that their dad became sick. He struggled to take care of himself & them and the time came that it was just too much and, sadly, the only option for him was to return Morris & Allegra to Adopt A Stray. His health, both physical & emotional, was preventing him from being able to provide the kind of home that they needed and deserved. The change was especially hard for Morris because he was the most attached to their dad and would follow him around - wanting to be where ever he was in their home. (Allegra, on the other hand, is a little more laid back and just kinda goes with the flow. In fact, she was just fine from the first day that they moved into the Adoption Center at the Aventura PetSmart.) Morris has come a long way since they were returned. For weeks, he hid in a little cat house but now he has adjusted and he's confident and friendly. He's always hanging out on the cat trees to greet anyone that visits the catroom. You can see by the recent picture of him with Allegra that they are still very bonded. Morris can be adopted alone and he would adjust to other cats but he would be happiest if he got another home with Allegra. Most of all, he just wants to be back in a home where he is LOVED and where he has a family that he can hangout with and spend the rest of his life with.
