Great News! Sugar and her sister Spice have been adopted and are just waiting to go home with their new family. Sugar and her sister Spice must have a guardian angel looking after them. Just as they were owner surrendered to animal control, an Adopt A Stray Volunteer was calling her contact there. They told her about these two little girls and she said wanted to meet them. When she arrived at animal control they were in separate cages trying to disappear into the background - they were so scared they could not even make eye contact with anyone. The AAS volunteer had second thoughts about taking them, but when the two dogs were put together, they transformed into affectionate loving sisters that could not stop touching each other. The AAS Volunteer could not separate the two and had to take both girls knowing that they would be overlooked at the shelter. They have not left each others side since then. They are both doing great in their foster home and are completely housebroken. They are about a year old. These little girls have big dog personalities in a small dog body - at only 20 lbs they are full grown. They are learning to walk on a leash, they are very quiet dogs have not heard them bark yet. Although it would be wonderful if the sisters were adopted together, we are accepting separate applications for them. They are both good with other dogs and cats. Spice - is rust colored and is a true companion. She follows you around everywhere and just wants to be at your side. When she is outside she likes to run and play. . Sugar - Black and White - She rolls on her back for belly rubs very sweet and affectionate. Keep checking back for updates as we get more info. The adoption fee for each of the girls is $150 each or $250 if you adopt them together.
