Persephone (per sef' uh nee) is everything you could possibly want in a kitty. She is gorgeous with torti-tabby coloring, lime green eyes and long curved whiskers; she has the most adorable affectionate personality; and despite her hard life so far she still plays with her toy mouse like a little kitten. (BTW she tips the scales at a mere 8.4 lbs) This little girl was abandoned about 2 years ago as a youngster in a corporate park, the employees started feeding her and kept her healthy enough to breed, so 3 litters later her outdoor family had grown to 7 cats and she was tired and scraggly looking. That's when Adopt A Stray got involved and did a TNR (trap neuter return) for all 7 cats. Once sterilized Persephone blossomed into the gorgeous cat she is today. She became so friendly it was time to see if she could adjust to living indoors with a family. Adjust she did....her first night in a home she purred incessantly, sat on her foster mom's lap for an hour and just couldn't get enough attention. She is the most affectionate cat her foster home has ever cared for. Did I mention that she gives great kitty massages as she kneads her paws on you. She doesn't really care what is happening as long as she's getting attention, you can trim her nails, give her medicine, brush her fur or get nose to nose with her and let her head butt you.....no matter what she's happy to be with you.
