My story and my brothers is just another heart breaking, tear jerking story. It may be just a story but it is Rubio's and mine and it is painful for us. My name is Chico, I am a slim trim, handsome Maine Coon. My brother Rubio is a red tabby Maine Coon. Rubio is slower and a bit heftier than me. I am the energetic, active child. We were adopted as kittens by a lovely couple, they loved us, nurtured us, coddled us, gave us great vet care...what else could you ask for. Dad is grieving the loss of Rubio, they had such a special bond. Rubio would sit next to dad before he got sick and stay there for hours. Our dad spends lots of time in the hospital waiting for a new liver. Mom stays with him, night and day. We were left alone for a long time, many days, then weeks and now months. Our dad said this is no way for his kids to live and after lots of thought and with lots of love and tears, they decided to give us a second chance to find our forever home. We are very sad about this, but the lonliness was killing us. My brother and I are very different, Rubio is the soft spoken, slow moving one. I am the higher maintenance one. We love a family life, even with just one human, we love company and love, love. Think about giving us our new forever home.
