In loving memory..........

Donate in memory of a loved one

When I first got Tipsy she was a 3 month old white ball of fur  who often got into trouble.  When she matured,  she grew into a sweet cat who ran the roost of 3 boy cats.  She never gave me a problem but each morning she would let me know when it was time for breakast by tapping me on my nose.

Her legacy will always be remembered.

Albert Einstein ( 2002-2014)
was adopted by the Domkowski/Koenig household
in November of 2005 after his former owners
lost their home during Hurricane Wilma.
Albert was a lovable friend who could melt the heart
of anyone with his brown eyes and his over bite
that made it look as if he was always smiling.

Albert will be missed by his adopted brother and sisters
Charles, Sophia, and Wilhemia and his owners.

In loving memory of Chance (aka Chancy-Pants)

Chance had a tough guy demeanor but was really a gentle soul.  I will miss our lap-time and his big purr, but most of all I will miss all his tough guy antics that always made me laugh.

Lilly was emaciated, had an injured paw, and had both Feline Aids and Feline Leukemia.  Although she only survived for a little over a day after her rescue, it is comforting to know that thanks to Adopt A Stray and the kind lady who rescued her, the last day of her life was probably her best.   She had a full belly, pain medication, a lap to curl up on and people who cared about her.

Lilly's enthusiasm for the kindness she was being offered touched the hearts of everyone who came in contact with her.  Rest in peace Lily.

In memory of Crinkle,

Mr. personality, devoted companion, friend
and of course kitten tamer.  You were confident, loving
and soulful, one of a kind peacemaker.  I still hear you
greet me with your amazing HELLO.  I miss you, I miss you.

April 12, 1994 - June 7, 2012

You loved kitty-cats so much in life, but couldn't have your own because of your severe allergies. Now you are in heaven and can play and cuddle with them as much as you wish.  You are forever in our hearts.  Love, mom.

I will miss you forever!

Who among us hasn't envied a cats' ability to ignore the cares of daily life and to relax completely?  Karen Brademeyer
Sadly, Madonna has crossed Over the Bridge leaving us too soon but has left us with feelings of love and admiration for her brave and courageous fight for her life and her two kittens.  Just three months ago she was found in a drain field nursing her two kittens.  One of her back legs appeared broken and although scared and in pain she let us check her leg.  Unfortunately, she had an infection in the bone and her leg needed to be amputated.  Our volunteers donated their own money to make this happen.

So sweet and gentle she loved being held and petted purring with gratitude. She slowly became trustful and the search began to find her a forever home. Bravely she sat in her cage at Petsmart enjoying the attention of all who passed by. She was learning to hop around on her 3 legs when suddenly she could not move.  She spent the last week of her little life at the vets office where very caring vets and staff searched to find a cause and save her life. Her foster mom visited her every day until it was evident she was not going to make it.  Sadly, she left us in the short span of 3 months with us.  Her kittens are safe and happy, one in a permanent foster home and the other found a forever home with a great family.   Madonna was a brave mother and a wonderfully sweet cat.  She will be missed.  Rest in peace. Forever in our hearts especially your foster mom Jane.  I love you.

Midnight was a special cat.  He escaped death twice, but this time was too much for him.  I will miss his motorboat purr next to my ear at night.  He made me laugh with his belly swaying from side to side as he walked.  I know he's in a safe place, playing with his brother and sister.

Which is more beautiful: feline movement or feline stillness. Elizabeth Hamilton.

Snap got his name from his personality, he needed a name that had some snap to it...hence Snap. My beloved boy had only love to give, sweet natured and fun. The only thing Snap ever asked for was love. He was so happy all the time, he would knead so hard and with so much gusto it looked like he was either swimming or marching in a band. Snap you are with Poppy now, be happy together...you are both missed terribly.

I miss how this sweet boy would crawl up on my
shoulder and purr in my ear each night when we
went to bed.  This sweetheart is gone too soon.

Barbara Hanson loved many things and if you knew her, you knew about her loves. She loved her children, she LOVED her grandchildren and she loved the animals...all animals.  Barbara was a volunteer with Adopt A Stray for over a decade.  Every Sunday morning she cared for the cats at the Petsmart adoption centers while they were waiting to find their forever homes.  She loved those cats as well as the many feral cats that she trapped and fed.  There's nothing Barbara would love more than to be remembered for her love of her children, grandchildren and the all animals that she cared for.

Remi -1996-2010

You enriched all the lives you touched with your puppy love way. Always happy and so sweet. Though your life was long in dog years, it was way too short for those who knew and loved you.

Mom, Dad, Jack and Buddy miss you so much. Allie, Mardi and Sandy will keep you safe  and warm.

My sweet Gypsy Girl, it's been a year since you left us & I miss you every day.  Thank you for the 15 years of love & laughter, and keeping me warm at night. I know you are at peace now, pain free & no worries about thunder or fireworks (although I still look for you in the closet during storms).  You are in my heart forever.  Until we meet again......   I love you schnookie dog!

Lilly was rescued from the streets in Miami. She was taken to the vet and found to be in fairly good health except for an eye injury that was untreatable. Two years after I adopted Lilly she had a Xray that showed she was riddled with bb's. Lilly your good natured way, your stubborness and your ongoing happy way continued even though the cancer was taking over. You never complained. I am sorry that you had such a short life and I hope you were happy here. Madi also misses you! Your mom, Cindy

In loving memory of Dacquiri...abandoned as an adult, adopted and returned with health issues. I was lucky, because you ended up with me. Dacq I will always remember you sitting by the refrigerator, reminding me it was time for your insulin and being the first one in the bathroom when I woke up in the morning and being the best cuddler ever. Your good nature is hard to find, I will miss you...forever. Cindy

In loving memory of Alice, who slept on the pillow next to me for 17 years.   The other cats that joined us over the years, took their orders from Alice....she was queen.  She seldom showed affection, but when she did -it was very special.
